Learning Support Assistant and Lunchtime Play Leader

(combined post)

We are seeking one temporary KS2 Learning Support Assistant and Lunchtime Play Leader (combined post) (term time only) to cover a secondment until the end of the summer term. 

 

LSA 26.25 hrs per week x 39 weeks per year

Grade C3 £18,065 FTE (£9.36 per hour)

Actual annual salary £10,974

 

LPL 2.5 hours per week x 38 weeks per year (0.5 hours Monday to Friday)

Grade A1 £17,364 FTE (£9.00 per hour)

Actual annual salary £979

 

The successful applicant will need to be suitably qualified/experienced to provide 1:1 support for children requiring learning, emotional and behaviour support and will be required to work 1:1 with children needing additional support and care during lunchtimes. 

 

You will need to be able to work within our Christian Ethos, demonstrate excellent English and Maths skills, communicate clearly, have a good understanding of how to work with children and most essentially have a good sense of humour.

2 x LUNCHTIME PLAY LEADERS REQUIRED

 

Fixed term until 31 August 2020 (to start as soon as possible)

 

1 x 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Mon to Fri 12.00 – 1.00pm)

1 x 7.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Mon to Fri 12.00 – 1.30pm)

 

Grade A (NJC Point 1), £17,364 FTE (£9.00 per hour)

Actual Annual Salary £1,958 (5 hours per week) or £2,937 (7.5 hours per week)

 

Our Lunchtime Play Leader’s work with children right across the primary age range; assisting children when eating in the hall, supervising and playing with children on the playground (all year round) and ensuring all children are safe and happy at lunchtime.  This post may also require working 1:1 with children with additional needs.

Salary details: MPS 1-6 (£23,720 to £35,008 FTE)

Job term: Starting 24 February 2020, fixed term until 31 August 2020

Appointment type: Full Time Fixed Term
