Welfare and Attendance Officer

Hello my name is Mrs Tracey Brennan-Osment and I am the school’s new Welfare and Attendance Officer.  I work closely with Mrs Prentice and school staff to identify families and students who may need support to achieve good attendance. I work with families and students and offer them guidance to help them raise theirattendance. I am able to offer confidential home visits to further support and problem solve.

If you see me at the school gates in the morning or around the school please say hello! My role is to support you and ensure your child achieves good attendance, which in turn will help them achieve their full potential. Good attendance is so important for good attainment. We have an attendance policy that sets out how we promote good attendance, which is available to see on this website.

In our attendance policy, it states you must call school on the first and every day of your child’s absence, it gives advice around requests for holiday and what we can all do to help keep school attendance high. Our attendance target for the year is 96%. It is currently 95.6%.
