Foundation

At St Marychurch Primary, we currently have a foundation unit, where all children benefit from two teachers. We believe that children learn best through playing and interacting; with each other and with the adults, through a variety of different experiences, both in the classroom and outside.

Please look below to see examples of life in the foundation stage at our school.

We have been learning to work and play together to achieve a goal.

We have been sorting information using our interactive whiteboard

As well as our 'Leap into Life', we also enjoy gymnastics and other fun actvities like cheerleading!

Through making gingerbread men, we learnt about the changes that take place during cooking. They tasted great!

We learnt about the people who help us, the lollypop lady explained how important road safety is to us all.

With our parents, we made our traditional Easter bonnets and enjoyed showing them off during our Easter coffee afternoon.
