Educational Visits

Each year the children are taken on visits relating to their studies. At first these are within the locality of the school, but increasingly we take them to places at a greater distance. In the Upper Juniors the pupils have the opportunity to take part in residential visits. Recently these have been to Wembworthy and Osmington Bay, Weymouth.

Charging

The School Governors review their policy on charging for school activities annually.

We do not usually make any charge for out of school activities. Additional instrumental Music Tuition (e.g. guitar) is provided by people not employed by the school and parents are required to pay for those activities. There is no remission of fees for these activities, when available.

Parents are asked to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of school visits and special events such as theatre productions. The school subsidises visits up to a small percentage of the total cost (decided annually). However if the parents’ voluntary contributions were insufficient, the visit would have to be cancelled
